FEA-Interface

ABAQUS
The data export from ABAQUS to winLIFE is realised by means of the winLIFE CDI interface and is documented in the manual. The results of the calculation are displayed within winLIFE, so that the previously necessary data import from ABAQUS is no longer necessary.

ADINA
The data export from ADINA to winLIFE is realised by means of the winLIFE CDI interface and is documented in the manual by using an example. The results of the calculation are imported from ADINA and displayed in ADINA.

ANSYS
The data export from ANSYS to winLIFE and back is performed with the help of macros, which are controlled via a user interface integrated in the ANSYS Workbench. These macros are supplied with winLIFE. The additional dialogue windows created in this way allow easy operation to export the stresses to winLIFE. The results of the fatigue life calculation obtained in winLIFE (fatigue life, damage sum, safety against endurance strength) are imported by ANSYS Workbench and displayed as iso-lines.
For weld seams, the normal unit vectors perpendicular to the weld seam can be generated in ANSYS and exported to winLIFE together with the stresses in order to carry out a fatigue life calculation according to the structural stress concept. Ansys

FEMAP
A very powerful interface from us to FEMAP exists and is delivered together with winLIFE. Simcenter Femap

NX, Nastran
NX Nastran files (op2 and dat) can be read and used directly in winLIFE, which is convenient, fast and at the touch of a button. An interface is also available via the winLIFE CDI (Custom Designable Interface) so that actions can still be carried out within NX Nastran.

NeiNASTRAN
The data transfer from NeiNASTRAN is performed using FEMAP in a similar way as already described.

PERMAS
PERMAS files (post) can be read in and used directly in winLIFE, which is convenient, fast and at the touch of a button. An interface is also available via the winLIFE CDI (Custom Designable Interface) so that actions can still be carried out within PERMAS.

OptiStruct
OptiStruct files (op2 and fem) can be read and used directly in winLIFE, which is convenient, fast and at the touch of a button. An interface is also available via the winLIFE CDI (Custom Designable Interface), so that actions can still be carried out within OptiStruct.

RecurDyn
A winLIFE interface to the multi-body dynamics programme is integrated from winLIFE version 3.7.2. There is a close cooperation with FunctionBay. FunctionBay

ADAMS
ADAMS files (dat and asc) can be read and used directly in winLIFE, which is convenient, fast and at the touch of a button. An interface is also available via the winLIFE CDI (Custom Designable Interface) so that actions can still be carried out within ADAMS.

Other FE programmes
However, the winLIFE CDI (winLIFE-Custom-designable Data Interface) also allows almost any result files to be imported from SAMTECH in ASCII format. Please note, however, that Steinbeis will no longer actively support the SAMCEF FEM/MKS environment for new customers. We will continue to support existing winLIFE customers who use SAMCEF and offer alternative solutions.
